Duco Event Experts
Duco is the country's foremost events company.

Having already introduced some solid brand looks for their proposal documents, Duco asked 1976 to reinterpret their existing logo into something contemporary which would be highly visible on all their event collateral.

Its first true test was during the Fight of the Century boxing match where David Tua knocked Shane Cameron to the ground right next to the new brand. Nothing like a christening in blood.
Hallensteins IFD
Hallensteins inhouse brand IFD was looking a bit disparate after being around for a while with new iterations each season. Hallensteins asked 1976 to create a solid new identity which would unify the brand. With that achieved we then applied it to all labelling and buttons for the latest range.
Fight of the Century
Duco needed a quick turnaround for the Fight of the Century programme. Arguably the highest profile sporting event of the year, 1976 delivered on time without skimping on design.

You could say we didn't pull our punches
on this one.
Burger King
Hand-painting 5 skateboard decks to a tight deadline anyone? No worries for 1976.

Designing and painting these for 2 1/2-D was a nice way to start the year and get off the computer. Seeing them on the small screen on a Burger King ad a few days later was nice too.

We also designed the flames which were vinyl cut onto the half-pipe in the ad.
Hallensteins Accessories
They're accessories and they talk to you. Inline with the irreverent 'It's Good To Be A Guy' label, 1976 came up with the concept, copy and layout the packaging for these Hallensteins accessories which came out in time for Father's Day.
Antique & Art
Erika from Antique and Art Valuation Service asked us to design the logo, business card and letterhead for her new company. Providing valuations of modern and antique collectables and art, her identity needed to be contemporary whilst hinting at historical styles. We went a serif typeface with alternating cases and supported it with an extruded blackletter 'A' reminiscent of lead type.
Duco Proposals
Duco came to 1976 and asked us to add some life to their proposal documents which they present to potential sponsors of their charity dinner events. We soon had a solid template to work with which allowed the fast turnarounds required whilst impressing the corporate audience with an elegant design.
Coaching Matters
Coaching Matters is the life coaching business of Angela Besant, the sort of service we could probably all do with from time to time. It was important for this identity to be clear and approachable.

Gusto
The alternative energy company, Gusto asked us to develop their current logo into a full brand across business cards, letterheads, A4 brochure templates and a website template. In line with the eco aspect of their products we advocated the use of recycled stocks to form a strong identity.
